is an actress, dancer, and singer (DC & NYC local hire). She has a degree in Film & Television Performance from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and is represented by Sylvia Hutson at Hutson Talent Agency (SE Region Only).
Born in Maryland, and a lifelong resident of the DMV, Amanda Leigh Corbett grew up dancing. She was a 'bunhead' with big Broadway dreams, and spent nearly all of her free time in dance studios, listening to Broadway cast albums, and choreographing. It wasn't until high school that she caught the acting bug, and due to a series of events out of her control, she changed course.
Leigh is the official Huggies "Hug On Mom", and can be found across the social media platforms for the brand Scary Mommy. She was recently nominated for BEST ACTRESS - SHORT FILM at Garden State Film Festival, for her role as Lucy in Wicked Image, which had it's world premiere screening at the (virtual) festival on March 28, 2020. She was also nominated for her work in the short film, Case Closed (Best Actress - Drama) at DC's 48Hour Film Festival. Other film and television credits include the 71st Annual Tony Awards, SNL, For My Man, Ice Cold Killers, Sweeter, and The Pray'ers Club. And if you've got a great pair of eyes, you might catch her an episode or two of The Get Down, on Netflix.
A proud member of the Washington, D.C. theatre community and has been seen on numerous stages across the last 5 years. Some of her favorite roles include Holly, in The Wedding Singer (NextStop Theatre Company), Grace in Cinderella (Imagination Stage), Faith in Brooklyn: the Musical (Monumental Theatre Company), and Sidekick in The Magical Piñata (The Keegan Theatre), which was extra special because she got to perform alongside her husband, Andres.
What's next? Keep checking back to see! And if you're interested in hiring Leigh for your next project, please reach out via her agent, Sylvia Hutson.
